GTA 6 Will Be Released For Xbox 2 And PS5

PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Grand Theft Auto V (GTA V) are only two years old, but there are already rumours that the consoles and the successful game will have their respective predecessors. It was only in 2013 when the three household names were released in the market, but 2016 marks the future of gaming.

There have been reports claiming that GTA 6 is already in progress and when it will be released, it won't be for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One but for the consoles of the future--PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two. Rockstar doesn't want to confirm its target date for GTA 6 because it doesn't want to set false expectations again and then not meet it. However, a lot of game analysts and critics believe that when GTA 6 is finally ready, it will be on the next-gen consoles: the PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Two.

The rumours about PlayStation 5 are already circulating in the gaming community. Mobipicker reported that sometime last year, Sony put up a job posting hiring game developers for Playstation 5. They were looking for a Senior Game Programmer for R&D purposes related to the next-generation gaming system.

The "next-generation gaming system" can only mean one thing, Sony is already working on PlayStation 5. In fact, many rumours are going around as to what PlayStation 5 will be and will have. However, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two are expected to be discless consoles that are virtual reality enabled and feature AMD processors.

Robbie Bach, the former Xbox Chief Officer, hinted that a successor to the Xbox One is work in progress, and it will be way different than the current models. Xbox One's Phil Spencer has also confirmed that the Xbox Two is on its way and said that we can fully expect the console from the company anytime soon.

GTA 6 is much more demanding, so the next-gen console is really a possibility. GTA 5 has a long way to go, anyway; more DLCs are on their way, and many things we haven't explored. It won't go obsolete as early as now. We'll just have to wait for the predecessor this year or maybe next year, who knows.
