‘Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End’ PS4 Release Date & First Look Review: Play Nathan Drake One Last Time

Die-hard fans may have felt that the wait took forever, but "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" is finally set to land on the PS4 by May 10. The fourth and final chapter in Naughty Dog's treasure-hunting, action-adventure shooter game promises upgrades in many areas, one of which being graphics.

As "A Thief's End" caps off the series, players will be able to take on Nathan Drake's character one last time, Time says. Followers would remember that the game's trailer was originally shown back at E3 2014, giving a glimpse of its protagonist.

Because the hype for the title has been around for quite some time, some had taken the opportunity to post spoilers ahead of the exclusive release. As per PlayStationLifestyle.net, this had been grim for few developers at Naughty Dog, who took their disappointment over to Twitter. The outlet also mentions about several stores selling the game since last week.

GearNuke cites screenshots taken by "users who have an early access to the game," and from the looks of them, it is easy to spot that developers took their time to fine-tune visuals. Under the sun, Nathan appears much more human, and background landscape looks just more convincing. Level-of-detail seems generally improved, and this is one aspect prospects will be happy to realize as soon as the game is released.

More screenshots from several NEOGAF users are also posted at DualShockers. What's interesting about this set are in-game filters, which include 8-Bit, ASCII Mosaic, Cel shaded, Chalk Dust, Classy, Negative Land, Rainbow Fun Land, Tri-Color, Vibrant and Vintage, among others. There are also unlockable gameplay modifiers noted, such as 8-bit and 4-bit audio, Bullet Speed Mode, Helium Audio, Infinite Ammo, Mirror World, Mirror on Death, No Gravity, Slow Motion and Xenon Audio.
