Tom Clancy's 'The Division' 1.2 Update: Brutal Talent Nerfed, Performance Gear Buffed, Armor Cap Increased; Release Date & Other Changes Here

Ubisoft is currently working on update 1.2 of Tom Clancy's “The Division,” which featured a variety of tweaks and enhancements. There is no official launch date for the new update in the meantime.

The game publisher provided several details about the upcoming “The Division” 1.2 update. There will be balancing tweaks, fixes and adjustments for improved overall gameplay and user experience.

Changes to Expect on "The Division" 1.2 Update

PlayStation Lifestyle said that some of the issues that will be addressed by update 1.2 include fixing the weapon talent Balanced to function as it was initially designed. The effect could be a meta-game shift towards added variety and away from the M1A. The Brutal weapon talent was nerfed. It will be additive and accordingly shown in the UI DPS. The Reckless issue was also addressed and will work properly. The Sentry’s Call 4 piece bonus has been adjusted to only work on semi-automatic weapons.

Other adjustments to be introduced by “The Division” 1.2 update include overall buff to Performance Gear Mods to boost their effectiveness. There will be new Gear Sets that focus on a number of weapon types that will hopefully encourage diversity in build and playing style. The armor cap will be increased to 75 percent to improve survivability while the damage output of players will also rise.

Reaching the armor level will be more difficult and players will need to give up stats in other areas in exchange. Toughness will be displayed in the UI, instead of health. Toughness is a combined number that features health and armor together, or effective hit points. Character Talent stacking has also been fixed so that it cannot be done.

Ubisoft stated that update 1.2 currently looks great but is still being improved via extensive QA testing to provide gamers with the best experience. They are currently considering changes to the loot system, as well as offering a more diverse experience, although these may not be part of the new update. The game publisher stated that a balancing pass on weapons requires a lot of effort and resources from the teams, so it should be done properly and not rushed.

Ubisoft May 2016 Season Pass Content

Ubisoft also announced on its Twitter account that the exclusive Season Pass content drop for May 2016 is already available on all platforms. Some of the advantages to expect include two weapon skins, Safari Purple and Burst Mountain and five high-end crafting materials. The official launch date of “The Division” 1.2 update is expected to be revealed soon.
