Google I/O 2016: What To Expect This Year [VIDEO]

For Google, it is that time of the year once more when they unveil their roster of products which they have been working on for the last year. This early, some have an idea on what to expect though there is expectedly a whole lot more.

To date, all techies have to rely on are the rumors mentioned left and right and nothing has been made certain. Some could come to fruition while others quashed. But in the eyes of many, there are inevitable revelations starting with the Android N OS and also Google’s ticket to the virtual reality game as well as some new Android wear via Tech Crunch.

These three things are expected to headline the lot. Android N is the next major operating system release expected from Google and proof of that are builds of the OS which have already come out in the open.

However, the more important matter at hand is when the update will be rolled out. This is something that many feel is critical considering the practice is done on increments in regions.

Android N in depth

Rumors have it that the Android N will come out filled with new features. That includes features such as a built-in split-screen mode, a redesigned/cleaner notifications pulldown and more automated power saving options that will help address the power-consuming woes Android devices have been prone to.

On the more tangible things to expect, there is the VR headset and the wearables.

Google is expected to unveil a proper VR headset, something that is expected to improve on the previous Cardboard VR. The new headset is expected to take it up a notch and may include a perked up exterior as well as better interface usage.

The Wall Street Journal hints that the next headset could be something different, one that runs on its own with no PC or phone to support it. Could it be possible?

Google’s line of Android Wear could get a major update seeing that it has been idle for quite some time. An update is seen imminent with day 2 known as “What’s new in Android Wear?”

Aside from these, other new stuff are expected. That includes new Android Apps made for Chromebooks, Project Tango, Google Chirp and a whole lot more.
