For "Naruto Shippuden" episode 462, the storyline is centered on Hagoromo's awakening of the Sharingan and how it Kaguya was angered by it. Also, since Kaguya is a chakra devotee and aims on claiming all chakra in the world, she is fully convinced that nothing should have it except her. Since her sons gained the knowledge and mastered the art, Kaguyat then transformed as the Rabbit Demon, reports Yibada.

The story began with Gamamaru, "the Sage", who happens to be the Toad sage. He rendered a prophecy that a kid will be born to be the savior of the Shinobi world, and the prophecy pointed to Naruto. The toad sage has lived well ahead of his year and was even alive during Kaguya's time. He was also the one that informed the Otsutsuki siblings regarding the dark secret behind the Divine Tree that their mother had been protecting and preserving for such a long time.

The story progressed to the awakening of the powers of Kaguya's children. Owing to Hagoromo's anger and fury for the death of his loved one, he was able to awaken the Sharingan, and was then known as the Sage of the Six Paths, as well as the author of the great dojutsu and the Rinnegan.
