'Gran Turismo Sport' Release Date Announced For Japan And The US, 3-Car Pack As A Pre-Order Bonus

The official release date of “Gran Turismo Sport” for Japan and the United States was recently announced. Furthermore, gamers who pre-order the title will also get early access to a three-car pack.

Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital, announced after the exclusive event in London that “Gran Turismo Sport” on PlayStation 4 will launch on Nov. 15, 2016.

PlayStation.Blog also cited that the announcement also featured “Gran Turismo Sport” pre-order bonuses for interested individuals. First, early access to a three-car pack will be available, which includes a Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car, a Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3 and a Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1.

More “Gran Turismo Sport” incentives will be available at retail stores. At GameStop, there will be early access to a couple of bonus cars, namely the Chevrolet Corvette Group 3 and the Nissan NISMO GT-R GT3 N24. At the PlayStation Store, players can avail of GT-themed PS4 avatars, a GT Sport Dynamic Theme and $500,000 worth of in-game credit for “Gran Turismo Sport.” The $500,000 in-game credit bonus is also available on Amazon.

The GT Sport Limited Edition was also created for dedicated racing fans to celebrate the release of “Gran Turismo Sport” on PS4 for the first time. The GT Sport Limited Edition package for “Gran Turismo Sport,” which has content valued at over $129, will be available at $69.99. The package will include a GT Sport Starter Pack, consisting of eight cars, which will provide players with quick access to cars in different race classes.

Players will get $1 million in-game credit to build and customize their personalized garage, a livery sticker pack featuring various logos and brands, 30 PS4 Gran Turismo Sport-themed avatars based on a number of featured vehicles, a racing helmet for the customized driver profile, a limited edition steel book and packaging.

According to Polygon, “Gran Turismo Sport” was developed by Polyphony Digital and produced by Yamauchi. The franchise has been running for 18 years but it is the first time that it enters PlayStation 4. “Gran Turismo Sport” on PS 4 was initially announced at Paris Games Week in October 2015. According to Yamauchi, the game will also be compatible with PlayStation VR.

Although the Japan and U.S. release dates for “Gran Turismo Sport” are set, the European launch has yet to be announced. According to a Sony Interactive Entertainment spokesperson, the launch dates will be different across the region. More updates and details on “Gran Turismo Sport” on PlayStation 4 are expected soon.
