To date, there is no clear word on when Apple could possibly out the Apple Watch 2 though rumors suggest that it could (still) come out this year.
The only hints so far close to a possible Apple Watch 2 coming concerns a potential new band and a price adjustment per Phone Arena. Other than that, most of the things tied up to Apple’s wearable have mostly been through concepts and speculations.
Patents offer more light to Apple Watch 2
Possible features that the Apple Watch 2 could carry are endless. Aside from the strap and potentially new health-related perks, the new features could be a pair from patents recently pointed out by Mashable from Patently Apple.
The patents in mention have to do with a camera and new buttons, both which could be logical additions to the wearable Apple Watch 2.
Apple Watch 2 Camera making sense?
Of the two features, it is obviously the possible addition of a camera to the Apple Watch 2 which could be interesting. An added camera offers various possibilities (including a potential spy cam to take stolen shots).
Seeing a camera-equipped wearable is something that has been a miss from the ones out in the market so Apple could offer something interesting in Apple Watch 2 just in case it does include one. Though the patent diagrams don’t show any illustration pointing to a possible camera though the lines one of the system outlines seem to call out for one.
More Buttons, More Features?
The current Apple Watch only has a crown and another button on the right portion. If the diagrams are reliable, there could be a couple of new ones on the wearable Apple Watch 2. The diagram shows two additional buttons on the left side of the device whose functions were not revealed.
Of the two, the possible inclusion of a camera is more interesting though, like the Apple Watch 2 potential release date, nothing has been set on stone for now.
