Game of Thrones' Season 6 Episode 9 Recap: Iwan Rheon, Actor Playing Ramsay Bolton Reacts On 'Battle of the Bastards' Ending

"Game of Thrones" actor Iwan Rheon has something to say about his character's demise in the recently aired episode nine of the popular TV series' sixth season, something fans who despised Ramsey Bolton would want to know.

According to Telegraph UK, HBO delivered what "Game of Thrones" fans have been craving for when they aired "Battle of the Bastards" featuring a war between the two illegitimate sons of lords in the North. Jon Snow, the bastard of Winterfell's late Lord Eddard Stark and Ramsey Bolton, the recently legitimized bastard son of Ruse Bolton of Dreadfort, fought head on with their own armies during the episode and many were caught off-guard by the gruesome yet awesome bout.

What is more surprising is that Rheon, who played the eccentric character Ramsey Bolton agree at what the writers of the episode decided for his character's fate. "I do think it's just and it's right. I'm glad it happens as a fan of the show," he told Entertainment Weekly in an interview.

According to Rheon, Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, should win the war of the bastards "otherwise there's no hope left in the world." But arguably speaking, the 31-year-old actor, singer, and musician believes that it was quite unfair for Ramsey to be thinking that he has won the war and yet end up dying in the end.

"He's so arrogant and self-assured he thinks he'll still be fine - until the last minute. He always thinks he's going to be okay," Rheon explained, referring to the last scene in the episode where Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) fed him to his own dogs.

Either way, Rheon still thinks that the episode gave justice to his character when Ramsay was met with a worthy adversary in Jon Snow whom he described as someone Ramsay shares a certain difference and similarity with, at the same time.He also admitted that he liked the way how his character died and considers it a "proper send-off" after four seasons of giving life to one of GoT's most hated villains.
