Grant Gustin has finally confirmed what fans should expect in the upcoming "The Flash" Season 3. According to the actor who plays the role of Barry Allen, "The Flash" Season 3 is indeed undertaking the "Flashpoint" storyline from the comics in Season 3, but they will be doing it in their own way.

Grant Gustin has said via Twitter that the filming for "The Flash" Season 3 will be starting within two weeks from now. Not only that, the actor who plays Barry Allen in "The Flash" series has also revealed that the Season 3 title will be called "Flashpoint."

With this, fans have started speculating that reports about "The Flash" Season 3 following the "Flashpoint" plot are true. For starters, Barry Allen went back in time in an attempt to save the life of his mother Nora Allen (Michelle Harrison) in "The Flash" Season 2 finale.

However, Grant Gustin has also made it clear that "The Flash" Season 3 will not be completely following the "Flashpoint" in the upcoming installment. Having read the comics, the books and watch the cartoon movie, Grant Gustin has emphasized that "The Flash" Season 3 will have its own version.

"We're definitely doing this FP thing our own way.. I've read Flashpoint, I've seen the amazing animated film," Grant Gustin said of the forthcoming "The Flash" Season 3 via Twitter. "This will be its own thing."

Meanwhile, GamenGuide has previously reported that Jeffrey Dean Morgan could play as Batman in the upcoming "The Flash" Season 3. It can be recalled that the "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor has expressed his interest to play as Batman at the Denver Comic Con.

Of course, Batman will become a vital character in "The Flash" Season 3 should it follow the "Flashpoint" arc as he will be the one to help the powerless Barry Allen. Other superheroes reported to join "The Flash" Season 3 include Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale).
