'Beauty and the Beast' Live-Action Movie Cast, Release Date, & More: Nostalgia Kicks in as Unofficial Merchandise Trends

"A tale as old as time..." is coming to theaters again and this time it is making more noise than it had when it was first featured as one of Disney's magical fairytale animations.

Nostalgia is now plaguing adults whose childhood was filled with amazing Disney stories that teach lessons in love, success, and life itself as the entertainment company delivers a live-action remake of the classic "Beauty and the Beast." With the cast led by Emma Watson who plays "Belle," Disney scheduled the theatrical re-release of the story about a young girl who falls in love with a cursed prince (Dan Stevens) on March 17, 2017.

The film is expected to follow the same story as the 1991 animated flick with a new taste of the magic in a re-imagined live-action version. In an interview with E! News, Gugu Mbatha-Raw teased fans about the film where she would do a lot of singing as the feather duster Plumette.

"A lot of my character is animated so I was only on set a couple of days. But, they were magical days. I mean, we were in London and you've got Ewan McGregor [as] my dance partner and we're ballroom dancing around this Disney ballroom!" she gushed.

While the premiere of the film is months away, Disney fans all over the globe are starting to get a kick of nostalgia as the story is told via other media including a theater musical at the Winspear Opera House in Dallas. According to CW33, the play is set to be shown in the city between June 22 and June 26, featuring Ryan Phillips as the talking candle stick, Lumiere.

Unofficial merchandise related to "Beauty and the Beast" is also trending worldwide as a flower boutique in Australia promotes a special arrangement called "Le Belle" that is available for sale at a $199 price tag. The arrangement featured by Elite Daily "magically" makes a rose in a dome last for a year and is made to look like the "Beauty and the Beast's" enchanted rose.

Even "Beauty and the Beast" VHS tapes are now being sold as collector's merchandise, with some selling it for $9,999.99, according to a separate report from E! News.
