‘Batman: Return To Arkham’ Latest News & Update: Warner Bros. Will Delay Bundled Remasters Indefinitely

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released an official statement that remasters for "Batman: Arkham Asylum" and "Batman: Arkham City" will not be released on July 26 schedule. The bundled remasters called "Batman: Return to Arkham" will be delayed indefinitely as there have been no release dates cited in the future.

Delayed Indefinitely

Polygon reported that Warner Bros. has decided to give the team at Virtuous Games more time to work on "Batman: Return to Arkham."

The bundled remasters for "Batman: Return to Arkham" is set to be released on July 26 for PS4 and Xbox One. The remasters will utilize the Unreal Engine 4 and will contain all the DLCs released for the games.

The "Batman: Return to Arkham" has no release dates as of now. Just announced last month, the collection will supposedly sell for $49.99.

Warner Bros. has assured fans that they will keep them posted in any development. The company made the announcement on its "Arkham's Knight" forums.

Newsarama said that the delay was decided after some glitches were discovered in the near-finished "Batman: Return to Arkham.' The delay was to make sure that the games will deliver fans' expectations.

"We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready, the official statement reads. "We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans."

'Batman: Return To Arkham'

In 2009, "Batman: Arkham Asylum" was developed by Rocksteady Studios. The game is set in the iconic asylum where some of DC's notorious villains like the Joker and Harley Quinn were home to.

The game was then followed by "Batman: Arkham City," which was released in 2011. This time, the villains were outside the asylum, creating havoc in the streets of Gotham.

“Batman: Return to Arkham” contains the two “Batman: Arkham” titles with remasters for PS4 and Xbox One using Unreal Engine 4, a first for the award-winning 'Batman: Arkham" series.

Some fans speculate that "Batman: Arkham City" may be released together with "Batman VR" in October. While others seem to fear that it won't be released at all.
