Sony Announces PlayStation Plus Free Games for July

It didn’t take long for Sony to follow the footsteps of Microsoft after revealing its free game lineup for its PlayStation Plus program this July. The new game titles will be available starting July 5 for the PS3, PS4 and PS Vita.

The move follows yesterday’s post revealing Microsoft’s Free Xbox Games with Gold for July titles, something which you can skim through here.

Among the Microsoft freebies include “Tumblestone” and “The Banner Saga” for Xbox One and “Rainbow Six Vegas 2” and “Tron Evolution” for the Xbox 360. All games can be played on the Xbox One thanks to the backwards compatibility program.

Today, PlayStation gamers can look forward to the free game titles for July. As detailed by Game Spot, the new titles include “Furi” and “Saints Row: Gat out of Hell” for the PlayStation 4 while “Fat Princess” and “Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood” will be available for the PlayStation 3.

PS Vita owners get their share of freebies as well with “Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines” and “Prince of Persia: Revelation” available for free this July.

A bonus comes in the form of the “Paragon” Starter Pack. PS Plus members get early access to the game before its scheduled beta happening on August 16. For those who are unfamiliar with “Paragon”, it is the new MOBA from Epic Games and will include three Master Challenges for the heroes Gadget, Murdock, and Rampage per the Playstation Blog.

All the new PS game titles will be available starting July 5. With still a couple of days to go, PlayStation gamers may want to make last minute shopping and get hold of the June, 2016 free games such as “NBA 2K16” and “God of War: Chains of Olympus”. Prices for these games are expected to return to normal in the coming days.

Other games that could interest PS3, PS4 and PS Vita gamers include “Doom”, “Street Fighter V” and “Resident Evil Revelations 2” through special deals for the week.
