‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ News & Update: Update 738 Pending Approval, Xbox Live Achievements Coming

‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ News & Update: Update 738 Pending Approval, Xbox Live Achievements Coming

The people behind “ARK: Survival Evolved” have been quiet until today and the reason behind it has been somehow explained. Apparently developers were busy at work with the Update v738 but the latest on that is that everything is now well and good.

“ARK: Survival Evolved” lead designer Jeremy Stieglitz was the bearer of good news. He made the announcement via Twitter, revealing that Update v738 was ready for submission to MS QA.

Stieglitz was pretty happy about their accomplishment on the update and will now wait what the Microsoft quality assurance team will say. According to Stieglitz, “ARK: Survival Evolved” will enjoy improved game performance and loading speeds once the update is applied, something that should gain the approval of gamers who are looking for better game play.

Xbox One Achievements on Update v739

While that breakthrough should be a big load off, there is also another interesting update that “ARK: Survival Evolved” gamers will want to monitor.

This has something to do with the game’s Ark Survival Evolved Achievements for the Xbox One and according to Stieglitz, all that will be on the Update v739. The patch will carry the first batch of Xbox One Achievements.

Out by Independence Day?

If all goes well, the patches for “ARK: Survival Evolved” should be out on schedule. Studio Wildcard has pegged July 4 as the release of the update, timely but typical on their end. All of that will however depend on how fast Microsoft’s certification team will act.

It could be out earlier or just in the nick of time. The worst case scenario is seeing the “ARK: Survival Evolved” patches out after July 4, something that could render disappointed gamers.

Launched in December, 2015, “ARK: Survival Evolved” is one of the first Xbox Preview Program titles. The program is similar to the Steam Early Access program that allows developers to release a game while it is still in development and receive feedback from fans.

It was originally set for a Summer, 2016 release but has been since bumped for Winter. If that is the case, ‘ARK: Survival Evolved’ could officially launch by March 2017 at the latest.
