“Steven Universe” season 3 will finally return on July 18 with new episodes under the “Summer of Steven” angle.This should be good news, particularly for the ones who were worried about anoher long hiatus.
All those worries are no gone with the return date revealed through the Cartoon Network via Imgur.
“Steven Universe” returns after a one-month absence. Season 3 kicked off back in May with “In Too Deep” but has since been on hiatus. If posters tied up to the show is to be believed, it looks like fans who have been waiting for the show’s return can expect more episodes to look forward to.
If so, this could indicate that viewers will be seeing “Steven Universe” from Monday to Friday and possibly see a “Steven Bomb”. While that seems interesting, fans may not be too thrilled since previous ones were a sign of another long hiatus.
A discussion going on over at Reddit hints at what to expect for the coming episode titles of “Steven Universe”. Based on the posts, the show returns with an episode titled “Too Short to Ride”. The title may ring a bell because it was a previously leaked video online.
While that is up in the air, some are interested to know if the speculated fusion involving Steven and Peridot as well as the new character coming aboard. Word of that new character came no less from Rebecca Sugar via Entertainment Weekly.
“I don’t want to give any spoilers, but there will be a lot more about Gem history and Gems in the present and how they feel about what’s going on, on earth,” relays Sugar in the interview.
Aside from that, Sugar also added that Steven will be going through harsh times though it is something part of growing up. Steven will still get the love and support of his father and the Gems as she tries to make “Steven Universe” as relatable as possible to what really happens in real life.
