FIFA '13 Demo Release Date And Review: AC Milan Vs Arsenal, Prince-Boateng Scores 3 Goals

Kevin Prince-Boateng scored a hat-trick in a stunning second-half comeback for AC Milan that saw the club recover from being two goals down late in the second half of a match with Arsenal.

It was a dazzling performance by the Ghanaian footballer, who scored all of Milan's goals for the game. Boateng scored the game-winning goal for Milan after Arsenal goalkeeper Mannone deflected a Alexandre Pato shot attempt.

With just under two minutes left in the game, Boateng latched onto the defelected ball and ran to the left corner of the goal and sending the ball sailing into the open net.

The Arsenal players looked dejected after the goal and did not even take another shot in the remaining two minutes. This was a tough loss for me in a demo game of EA Sports' FIFA '13.

The FIFA '13 demo launched earlier today for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The demo gives gamers a first look at what to expect when the full retail release of FIFA '13 is released on Sept. 25 in the US and Sept. 28 in the UK and Europe.

The playable teams featured in the demo are AC Milan, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Juventus and Manchester City. I played quite a few matches but none as compelling as the battle between AC Milan and Arsenal.

Every possession was attested, every shot on goal was well defended and I truly had to strategize to score a goal. Once I took a two point lead into the second half, I got little cocky and started attempting shot from impossible angles and the computer's artificial intelligence made me pay.

My Goalkeeper Mannone was invincible in the first half, blocking ten shots on goal. Yeah I didn't play defense very well, but I was able to strategize and setup plays off of his brilliant performance. I scored ugly but efficient goals. There was nothing pretty or glamorous about my team's goals.

In the second half Milan's goalie Abbiati was invincible and their defenders got into great positions to intercept any loose balls or sloppy passes. The computer AI is definitely smarter and will make you work for goals. The player impact engine really adds to the game, as players use their strengths to fight for position.

The thing that feels different from last year's edition is that almost all players feel different and this affects the control system, because certain players maintain ball control better than others. Some players pass the ball better and these are small but noticeable additions to game play. The announcing was spot on and often added interesting facts about the players in the game.

The in-game menu system is relatively the same as last year's edition. The FIFA '13 demo stadium is Manchester City's Etihad Stadium and players can upload goals and images from the demo to EA's FIFA dedicated site www.easportsfootball.com.

In comparing to the PES 2013 Demo, both games are shaping up to be pretty good, but judging from the demos FIFA '13 seems to be the better of the two tittles. It has a pick-up and play feel, but rewards players for learning the nuisances. I give it 9.5-out-of-10.
