"Pokemon Go" is already hitting the biggest markets around the world, and pretty soon everyone interested will be playing the game. (People have already run into unfortunate, if not bizarre situations while playing the game.) It doesn't stop at the free app, however—as announced when the game was revealed, "Pokemon Go" can be played with a wearable peripheral called the "Pokemon Go" Plus.
Although the "Pokemon Go" Plus is not scheduled for a definite release date just yet, we already know that it's going to be a very handy device that complements the "Pokemon Go" experience.
According to Polygon, the $34.99 device, which you can wear as a pin or lapel or wear like a watch, will connect with your smartphone via Bluetooth. Its main use is to alert you of any nearby in-game Pokestops or catchable Pokemon (although only Pokemon that you have already added to your Pokedex) without you having to look at your phone.
One of its biggest uses is that you'll be able to catch Pokemon with just the "Pokemon Go" Plus. Yes, without the use of your smartphone at all. It's not quite made clear yet how exactly you can throw a Poke Ball using the pin, but it will be possible. When you successfully catch the Pokemon, the "Pokemon Go" Plus will vibrate.
Even though there is no definite release date for the "Pokemon Go" Plus just yet, GameStop already has it for pre-order, and is listing its release on July 31 (and eBay, where resellers are already trying to sell it for thrice the price).
There has been no official announcement regarding the date, though, so stay tuned and we'll give official updates when we get them. Despite server issues, "Pokemon Go" is scheduled for a complete worldwide rollout by the end of the month.
