'Person Of Interest' Season 6 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Fans Create An Online Petition, Signs Almost Full; Show's Creator Hints The Coming Of A Spinoff

As fans haven't moved on from the ending of "Person of Interest" Season 5, they are still wishing and hoping for the continuation of the drama series. The supporters of the show are still crying for "Person of Interest" Season 6 or even a spinoff.

The Petition For 'Person Of Interest' Season 6

An avid fan, named Kaily Russell, of "Person of Interest" even did a petition at Change.org to bring back "POI" on TV, as per Vine Report.

The request is submitted to seven networks, which are Netflix, WGN, Amazon, ION, The CW, Hulu Plus, NBC and Fox Broadcasting Company to save "Person of Interest" from cancellation.

"'Person of Interest' is one of the most unique shows on TV today. It has built a large fan base that reaches from America to China to Turkey to France and everywhere in between," the petition noted.

"It gives us LGBT representation and gives us some of the truest representations of a mental disorder. We've been fighting to keep this show alive and would love to see another network pick it up, even if it's just for one more season," it continued.

Fans are looking forward that these networks will hear their request. They, too, wants to see the same original characters on "Person of Interest" Season 6.

As of this writing, the petition now has 49,254 signatures, which is 746 away from the needed 50, 000 signs.

A 'Person Of Interest' Spinoff

Moreover, "Person of Interest" Season 5 ended with a major cliffhanger that made fans confused and hanging, GameNGuide previously reported.

With that, the title's followers believe that "Person of Interest" Season 6 will be in the works to continue the hanging story.

However, there are swirling rumors that "Person of Interest" Season 5 holds a hint that the show's showrunners are planning to do a spinoff right from the start.

As Sameen Shaw was seen smiling enigmatically on the finale of "Person of Interest" Season 5, it was a clue that a new adventure was set to unfold.

"Person of Interest" creator Jonathan Nolan explained that because of the editing the cue was not clearly sent to the viewers.

The said smile is an indication that the relationship on "Person of Interest" is about to continue in a new form and the franchise will resume.
