The "Pitch Perfect" fans would still have to wait for next year for the release of "Pitch Perfect 3." The official release date of "Pitch Perfect 3" will be on Dec. 22, 2017, recent reports say. Most of the fans were not happy about this news, plus Adam Devine is not certain if he returns on "Pitch Perfect 3."
According to Yibada, Adam Devine spoke recently to Amy Kaufman, a Los Angeles Times writer, where the actor said that he's still not certain if he can still be part of the "Pitch Perfect 3" movie. Adam Devine plays the role of Bumper who's Fat Amy's love interest. In the previous installment, the two made their relationship official. Now, the fans are looking forward to what will happen to the couple.
During Adam Devine's interview, the actor also stated that he hasn't received any calls from the production. Since Adam Devine is not sure for his character's return in the "Pitch Perfect 3" film, he is now trying to convince Zac Efron to replace him and play the role of Bumper's younger brother.
If the "Pitch Perfect 3" rumor turns out to be true, this will be the second time that Adam Devine and Zac Efron will play siblings in a movie. But a report in Ecumenical News stated that Zac Efron declined Adam's offer, based on Zac Efron's statement it seems that he's not interested in taking the role.
No official word has been released yet if Zac Efron is really joining the "Pitch Perfect 3" movie. However, Zac Efrons's fans can look forward to another film that will feature him in his shirtless glory in the upcoming film "Baywatch." The movie "Baywatch" is expected to be released this coming May 19, 2017.
Other news have claimed that Anna Kendrick is planning to quit the franchise after several production delays. However, it remains to be seen if the singer-actress will still be involved in the "Pitch Perfect 3" movie.
In other news, Variety stated there are rumors that Zac Efron and Hugh Jackman might be working for an upcoming movie titled "The Greatest Showman on Earth." Meanwhile, with or without Efron and Adam Devine, "Pitch Perfect 3" will no doubt be released December 2017 or even earlier.
