Thousands of fans are now excited for the upcoming release of the "Avatar 2" movie. Now, new reports are claiming that Stephen Lang will be leading the upcoming sequels since the characters of Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana were captured by the villains.

GamenGuide was the first to confirm that Stephen Lang is going to become the lead star in the forthcoming "Avatar 2" movie. Making things more interesting are the reports saying that the veteran actor will be replacing Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as the main protagonist of the sequel.

Sources have claimed that Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang) is said to be taking the lead in "Avatar 2" after Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) were captured by the villains. Reports say that Miles Quaritch will then lead a group to save the two.

Well, James Cameron has previously revealed that the character of Stephen Lang will be evolving in "Avatar 2" and in the upcoming two sequels after that. In other words, fans of the much-loved movie franchise will be seeing more of Miles Quaritch alongside Jake Sully and Neytiri.

Moreover, other reports have even revealed that a solo movie for Stephen Lang could also be considered should his new character be accepted by the fans. James Cameron, Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are yet to confirm the reports.

Meanwhile, James Cameron previously revealed that "Avatar 2" will not be released on time due to "Star Wars: Episode 8" film. The creator of the franchise has said that he does not want to directly compete with the "Star Wars" franchise.

Reports have it that James Cameron had to move the premiere date of "Avatar 2" movie since it has the same release date with the "Star Wars: Episode 8" movie. The veteran director even stated that he has high respect to the people behind the "Star Wars" franchise.
