‘Tarzan 3D' Trailer Released (Watch Video)

The first trailer of "Tarzan 3D" has surfaced online. The movie is supposed to be 3D CGI motion-capture.

The movie is being directed by Reinhard Kloss ("Animals United," "Impy's Wonderland").

Kellan Lutz will play the role of Tarzan and Spencer Locke will be Jane in this animated 3D movie. The movie is written by Jessica Postigo ("The Mortal Instruments"), Yoni Brenner ("Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs") and Reinhard Klooss.

The rest of the cast includes Ray Newman, Robert Capron, Mark Deklin and Trevor St. John.

The film has reportedly used very cheap motion-capture.

Indiewire mocks the animation that "looks like it would've been cutting edge about a decade ago," saying that at best "it's like a really well done cut scene from a videogame."

It was in 2009 that German-based Constantin Film said they wanted to develop a Tarzan movie. The movie is based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' classic novel.

The story will be of Tarzan and Jane fighting battles with the CEO of the company that Tarzan's parents owned before their death in a plane crash. Tarzan and Jane fight the mercenary army sent out by the CEO.
