'Pokemon GO' Latest News, Release Date & Update: What the New 'Sightings' Feature Needs to Succeed

Niantic's recent updates for "Pokemon GO" has disappointed some fans who relied on third-party apps to catch Pokemon more efficiently. Since the game prevented third party-apps from accessing it, there's been a slew of groans heard all over the world, as users would then have to limit themselves to what the game alone has to offer.

Another new update came about with the "Sightings" feature, albeit to a select number of "Pokemon GO" users. With this new feature, users can now walk around and find Pokemon that are nearby and try to find them more easily than before. According to Forbes, "Sightings" is a new function that scans a nearby area every 10 seconds for Pokemon. The user can keep track of nearby Pokemon thanks to the always-updated scan.

Seeing that "Pokemon GO" seems to be a continuous work in progress, what other features should Niantic take into consideration in writing the next update? Some fans have been longing for the PokeVision's despawn timer, which shows users if a particular place will still have a Pokemon if they go there. Imagine playing the game, going to a place, and finding out that the Pokemon is no longer there? Kind of a bummer (great exercise, though).

In addition, it seems that spawns are only limited to a certain radius of a stop, meaning users will have to be around these areas or landmarks if they want to get ahold of these spawns. It'll limit them to particular places, which would mean crowding in such areas. Not so great for places that are already physically populated.

Another "Pokemon GO" feature that would be great for users is a bird's eye view of the specific location of a particular Pokemon, so that it's easier to travel to and obtain the creature. What do you want to see in the next updates of "Pokemon GO" from Niantic?
