‘Pokemon Go’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Best Ways To Keep Gyms Up

One way to level up in “Pokemon Go” is to hit the gym. For those who have been playing the augmented reality game, a lot of these have been put up in nearby areas.

But like the game itself, the “Pokemon Go” gyms are something that need proper maintenance for better distinction. There are three important things to note as far as “Pokemon Go” gyms are concerned: Prestige, Gym Level and Guardian Pokemon per Touch Aracade.

Prestige

The Prestige of a “Pokemon Go” gym depends a lot on what goes around inside. When training starts, the Prestige of the gym goes up when a player trains or engages.

For those who are unaware, there are three clans: red (Valor), blue (Mystic) and yellow (Instinct). Players get to choose which faction to join once they reach level 5.

The usual way of gym training

Assuming you have a gym thanks to your masterful ways, the next step “Pokemon Go” players have to worry about is defending it. Prestige is something equally important but the question is how?

Normally, “Pokemon Go” gyms will be surrounded by characters who have enormous CP. With that in mind, their CP would tower over other players. Hence, the safest number a gym could get is 500 prestige with every won battle.

Beef up the Pokemon Gym roster

Phandroid offers an interesting way to get more Prestige. It will entail beefing up the roster with lower CPs that could bait players in jacking up the gym rating.

While the best “Pokemon Go” character will likely be at the gates, gym owners can fill them up with lower CP characters. When players with expected superior CP levels engage, the gym could earn as much as 1,700 Prestige.

Technically, it seems like sacrificing the lower CP characters for the sake of gaining prestige. With the top “Pokemon Go” still around, it could be a good ploy to consider to ramp up the gym’s ratings.
