NBA Latest News & Update: Miami Heat Stretch Patience On Chris Bosh

The Miami Heat start the post- Dwyane Wade era for the coming 2016-17 NBA season as they transition to new faces up front.

The Heat will be banking on a new tandem in Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside to lead the charge plus some new faces like Wayne Ellington and Dion Waiters. They have a lot of new guys on the roster though it remains to be seen if this would be enough for the coming NBA wars.

Udonis Haslem is still around and Chris Bosh technically. Of the two, the fate of the all star center-forward is still up in the air no thanks to the blood-clot issue that has spoiled his last two seasons.

To date, there is no certainty on whether Chris Bosh can still continue pro ball. His condition is sensitive and may just take his life if he is not careful. It is compared to the case of Hank Gathers who just collapsed during a game.

Despite the dangers his illness brings, Chris Bosh just wants to go out and play. He wants to do something he loves but the Miami Heat are not biting unless he gets a clean bill of health.

Miami Heat still optimistic

Despite the health issue, the Miami Heat have not totally given up on Chris Bosh. In fact they are still (cautiously) optimistic that the 32-year-old native of Dallas, Texas will return next season.

Team owner Mickey Arison included this pitch via the Miami Herald. He was discussing the team for the current season and curiously included Bosh. However, the dish didn’t differ from the fact that Bosh has not been given the green light to play.

Verdict to be known August or September

Heat president revealed that the real state of Bosh would be known either this month or next. It may all depend on the physical evaluation of the 6-foot-11 star.

The verdict on that remains uncertain as we speak. It may not touch on whether he can (or cannot) play moving forward though knowing which activities he can do may more or less dictate what to expect moving forward.

Bosh is frustrated but the stand of the Heat is understandable. Should Bosh bolt the Heat, other teams are unlikely to take the risk since the all star player’s health obviously comes first.
