‘Titanfall 2’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Open Beta Play Set For Next Two Weeks
Respawn is expected to show off some footage for “Titanfall 2” at Gamescom 2016, a glimpse of things to come with the open beta happening the next two weeks.
The first beta for “Titanfall 2” will kick off on Aug. 19 and will include two maps and two modes until Aug. 21. The second open beta will be from Aug. 26 to 28 and will only be available to PS4 and Xbox One console owners. There will be no PC version out due hardware configuration conflicts.
The Three Modes
There will be three modes that “Titanfall 2” players can look forward to. This includes “Bounty Hunt”, “Pilots vs. Pilots” and “Amped Hardpoint”.
“Bounty Hunt” and “Pilots vs. Pilots” will debut when the first beta comes out, while “Amped Hardpoint” follows in the second week. Of the mix, the “Pilots vs. Pilots” seems interesting since it can host up to 16 players. But overall, the objective is to put the skills of “Titanfall 2” players to the test and co-op with other players to attain conquest.
“Titanfall 2” players will have three maps to check out. Initially out will be “Boomtown” and “Homestead” with “Forward Base Koda” up by the second wave. Each map will be worth exploring, something that pilots may need to fend off Titan attacks.
The new Titans and weapons
Aside from the maps and modes, there will be new titans to check out on “Titanfall 2”. These are “Ion” and “Scorch” who will join Pilots “Grapple”, “Holo Point” and “Pulse Blade”.
There will also be new weapons to try out. These are the “Mastiff”, a horizontal-spread shotgun and “Alternator”, a dual-barrel SMG.
There seems to be a ton of things to check out and lucky players participating in the “Titanfall 2” open beta can put all the features to the test. Story mode will not be included with Respawn saving that for the October 28 release of “Titanfall 2”. The game will offer versions for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
