Apple Watch 2 Release Date, News & Update: Wearable Device Will Have GPS, No LTE Connectivity? Serves As ‘Pokemon GO’ Tracker Too?

With the first Apple Watch success, fans of the device are really looking forward to what the next version has to offer. The upcoming Apple Watch 2 wearable device certainly got the interest of many tech junkies all over the world. The Apple Watch 2 device is expected to be released this fall. This could also mean that Apple Watch 2 pre-orders might be coming soon.

Apple Watch has a stiff competition coming from the Samsung Gear S Smartwatch. Apple has made some major improvements to the upcoming Apple Watch 2. Fans that are now very excited to purchase the device may not have to wait much longer, because there are rumors that Apple Watch 2 could arrive as early as next month.

The Apple Watch 2 could be launched sometime between September and October this year, as stated by MacRumors. iPhone 7 is said to be launched this coming September. If the rumors were true, Apple Watch 2 might be launched together with iPhone 7. So, we can expect that these devices will be out by the third week of September.

The upcoming new Apple Watch 2 is expected to resolve that problem with LTE connectivity. However, new reports now claim that it would not have LTE connectivity due to its battery problems. According to InformationWeek, LTE connectivity can drain too much battery of the Apple Watch 2 and it would not be a smart move for Apple if they still implement the feature.

Apple Watch 2 is expected to have several improvements regarding its health tracking features. Apple could still be launching an Apple Watch with LTE connectivity feature in the near future but a release date is not yet certain. Apple Insider reported that there could also be more features in the future generations of the Apple Watch.

Apple Watch 2 is also expected to have GPS that will allow cyclist, runners and other users to track their movements. According to Yibada, it is also possible that a "Pokemon GO" tracker would be developed for the upcoming Apple Watch 2.

The augmented reality game "Pokemon GO" from Niantic already has a notifier device but it does not seem to be taking off as expected. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more Apple Watch 2 news and updates!
