'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev Rekindles Romance On Set? Nikki Reed Furious?

The sun is about to set on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 as it is about to embark on the much-awaited season finale.  The romantic vampire-themed TV series though having gained an impressive fanbase, has been decided to end by the show's producers.

The impending conclusion of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is expected to give full closure to the on and off love story of Elena and Damon. "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will also give the fans who ship Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's real life love story.  Although the 37-year-old actor is already tied down with wife, Nikki Reed, fans of "The Vampire Diaries" want to see the couple reunite even if it's for reel only.

With the long hours of filming "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, the cast and crew have no choice but to hangout with each other, and Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's presence in the same location is sticking out like a sore thumb.  Although it has been a while since the two ended their real life relationship, it seems that the fans are still shipping the two lead stars as their chemistry is still scorching hot as ever.

Ian Somerhalder's presence along with Nina Dobrev is something that has triggered divorce rumors between Ian and Nikki Reed.  Although Nikki Reed's reported jealousy as the cause of divorce rumors is highly understandable, it would still be truly sad if the couple, who have just been married for more than a year, would part ways because of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.  Nikki Reed is yet to comment on the divorce reports but it would be safe to say that she's not in the mood to act chummy around Nina Dobrev.
