Everything is ready for the return of "Scandal" Season 6 in time for the U.S. Presidential Election. Although it will be a little late from the real one, fans are now wondering who will be the new head of state.

To recall, Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) decided to resign as the U.S. President that made way for Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) and Frankie (Ricardo Chavira) to fight for the presidential seat. The vice presidential race, on the other hand, was being eyed by Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) and Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry). Fans are about to see who will win these seats in the upcoming "Scandal" Season 6, which will exactly start on the election day.
"We are basically going to start our season on election night. Yes, it is going to play into our season, but we're not going to spend our time playing an election," the show's executive producer Shonda Rhimes explained, as per Chatt Sports Net. The 46-year-old writer assured their followers that "Scandal" Season 6 won't solely focus on the election.
Cyrus To Cheat Mellie?
Meanwhile, as "Scandal" Season 6 will quickly show the election day, fans will quickly know who will win the presidential race along with the winner of the vice presidential seat. It has been known that Mellie started the competition with a strong chance to win, but she will be surprised that Cyrus is chosen by the opposite side as the vice presidential candidate, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Cyrus only displayed that he has the capacity to be a scammer and if ever Frankie will be the next U.S. President, it will be no doubt that he do something about it. Cyrus has his brilliant ways of making Frankie known and respected in the United States. With his help, evidently, Mellie will have a hard time to bring Frankie down and has to work her very best to obtain the presidential seat. "Scandal" Season 6 is set to return in the middle of 2017 on ABC.
