The son of Jada Pinkett and Will Smith, Jaden Smith, is now making his own name and being known as a man who wears everything he wants even if some find it a little inappropriate. The 18-year-old star is often spotted wearing dresses and skirts resulting to some questioning his real gender.
Jaden Smith Clears He's Not Gay
Jaden Smith cleared that he is not gay and only has a unique fashion sense by wearing even the female clothing. According to Variety, the American actor has a different view in life and not putting himself inside the box of the gender norms. He, too, perfectly knows that not everyone will understand him and so, he chooses to be mum about it.
Jaden Smith admitted that he is a "super-duper fly" and "super-duper different" person when it comes to his fashion style. In fact, he revealed that he has been sporting dresses for the past 10 years without the knowledge of the media and public's eye. "The Karate Kid" star even disclosed that his sense of fashion is inspired by Andy Warhol, the Joker, Poseidon and Spike from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
Jaden Smith's Own Clothing Line
Meanwhile, with his unique fashion sense, Jaden Smith started his own clothing line, called MSFTSrep. It is a gender-neutral brand that is specially made for the people who wants to dress the way they want to, as per Yahoo! Style. "[The clothing line is for] the girl that wants to be a tomboy or the boy that wants to wear a skirt, and people try to condemn. We're here for you. Tell us your stories," he explained.
Jaden Smith also advised everyone to be themselves and don't be afraid of what will other people say. "If someone at your school's trying to pick on you, it doesn't matter because Jaden Smith's got your back," he added. Aside from being a talented rapper, he is also a meticulous designer and an outspoken environmentalist.
