‘Pokemon GO’ Update Too Difficult To Bypass For Third Party Apps, Confirms FastPokeMap Creator; Captcha System Implemented

"Pokemon GO" has made a lot of friends as well as enemies especially after Niantic Labs banned numerous users for using unfair means to gain advantage over others. New updates are adding a lot of features to the game and at the same time removing quite a few trouble issues.

The latest "Pokemon GO" update assures that no bot or cheat can make a comeback in the game. Creator of FastPokeMap also confirmed in a series of tweets that the latest "Pokemon GO" update will be extremely difficult for bots to bypass.

The Twitter account announced a downtime for FastPokeMap, which is supposedly caused by a new security measure by Niantic. After the latest update, "Pokemon GO" will ask for an in-game captcha to be answered the moment Niantic detects any unusual user activity in a trainer account, writes The Bitbag. FastPokeMap's Twitter page shared the captcha that "Pokemon GO" is using currently.

The measure is similar to the basic concept websites use to catch bot accounts and spamming. Many are speculating that "Pokemon GO" may also use Google's reCaptcha as their in-game captcha. This may be true as Niantic shares close ties with the search giant.

With Niantic focused on providing users with a fair and fun gaming experience, third-party apps may not stand a chance getting through "Pokemon GO" data. Players who were using cheats, hacks and bots to gain unfair advantage over those who chose stay in the good books of Niantic are now finding themselves on the receiving end.

"Pokemon GO" users are on treading on tricky ground as they are not sure which apps can get them banned. Rumors suggest gamers using stat tracking and organization tools such as Poke Advisor may face ban too.

Numerous "Pokemon GO" players have already been affected as the first wave of ban hit them hard with players finding their accounts taken down and a "ban email" in their inbox. Stay tuned for more "Pokemon Go" news and updates!
