In keeping with their promise of 6 months of DLC following launch, Square Enix has announced that Sleeping Dogs' Wei Shen will have his option of a few different makeovers, as some of gaming history's more recent badasses. The "Square Enix Character Pack, features skins/suits/armors, or whatever you'd like to call them, from Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Hitman: Absolution and Just Cause 2.
More than just a cosmetic change, each outfit will come with their own benefits. There's also some videos showing Wei Chen in action wearing each outfit. Check 'em out below!
- According to the publisher, Agent 47’s suit offers lesser attention from authority figures, and the original assassin's trademark silenced silver baller.
- If Human Revolution is more your style, the Sarif Industries armor soaks up enemy damage, reducing gunfire damage by 33%, and comes with a futuristic, fully automatic combat rifle, and even future-Detroit's best pimp sunglasses. But don't hold your breath if you where hoping for a "skul-gun."
- Finally, Rico Rodriguez's outfit (which was previously an Xbox 360 exclusive) lets gamers hijack vehicles from a greater distance. In addition, you'll also be able to fire off a few explosive rounds from Rico’s signature pistol.
The Pack will be available to download worldwide tomorrow (Nov. 14th) from your vendor of choice, be it Xbox Live for 160MSP, the PlayStation Network for $1.99, and Steam for the same price.
Looking to the future of DLC for the title, Sleeping Dogs is going "Enter the Dragon" for gamers. The second DLC pack after the Halloween styled Nightmare in North Point episode, the Zodiac Tournament pack sees Wei invited to competition taking place in a hidden island off the coast of Hong Kong, where fighters from all across Asia have also come to compete. The DLC promises to introduce a new island, enemies, cutscenes, and fighting moves.
An open world action-adventure video game featuring a stellar voiceover cast, Sleeping Dogs sees officer Wei Shen go undercover, infiltrate, and eventually take down the Sun On Yee Triad of Hong Kong. The game is out now for PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, and Windows PC.
