Electronic Arts has announced pre-order bonuses for the action game Fuse.
The game has four agents or characters, and players pre-ordering the game will receive special armor and customization for each character. This new customization will double-up the agent's ability to inflict damages on the enemy. Pre-ordered players will also get Hyperion Prototype Agent armor skins, four Hyperion Prototype weapon skins and the Quickdraw team perk, which increases damage with all one-handed weapons, IGN reported.
The game was earlier known as Overstrike, but the name was changed to Fuse Aug. 31. It is the first multiplayer game made by developer of Ratchet & Clank Insomniac Games and it is the first time the developer will own its own IP.
At E3 2011, the game was revealed with a trailer and a short appearance and synopsis. It was then called Overstrike.
The game is story-driven and makes players experience what might happen when humans access alien technology that they were not supposed to have. It follows "the worldwide journey of four elite agents who battle a rogue paramilitary organization to prevent a global arms race from spiralling out of control."
The game offers four player cooperative gameplay.
"Coordinate and combine abilities for extraordinary results in this frenetic four-player tactical co-op. Work together as you take down enemies, upgrade weapons, and unlock abilities faster through the Fuse-based progression system," said Insomniac Games on its website.
"The unique LEAP feature lets you instantly shift from agent to agent during combat, allowing you to take advantage of each one's special arsenal. You'll need your teammates and their firepower to stop a global arms race from spinning out of control." it said.
Fuse will only be available on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is slated for release March 2013.
