‘Pokemon Go’ Latest Tips & Tricks: Best Practices Of Leveling Up And Not Branded A Cheat

The obvious goal in the mind of a “Pokemon Go” player is to be at the best level that they can be. But depending on when one has started playing the augmented reality game, Niantic has the right to determine if you are actually playing the game or cheating.

Recall that Niantic is currently cracking down on questionable accounts that have reached high levels for a certain span of time. Apparently, they are aware of how fast (or slow) a “Pokemon Go” player can level up before concluding on the tactic being used.

Just recently, a certain player named Jimmy Derocher came up with an ingenious method to level up. The thing is that Jimmy is a self-professed hardcore gamer and his setup is something only a geeky gamer can come up with. All that was tackled in a previous post.

A saner and safe way

Folks who dare can follow the ploy of Jimmy but there are of course the standard ways. That includes frequenting PokeStops and timely use of items such as Incense and the Lucky Egg.

The key is finding the right place to use them, normally an area where ‘Sightings’ are clear. When both are used, rare spawns will crop up. Players stand to gain 500 XP with every new critter they catch while activating a Lucky Egg will bump up the XP levels to 1000.

Pidgey, Pidgey, and Pidgey

There are common “Pokemon Go” characters that pop up every once in a while. Among the popular ones are “Rattata” and “Pidgey”. For beginners, their Pokedex are likely to be filled with this type of character and evolving them would be a good idea.

But before you do that, consider activating the Lucky Egg first before evolving. Such would return 1000 XP, doubling the 500 XP. Those level up numbers isn't bad so consider that angle when you frequently come across a “Pidgey”!
