"The Bachelor" Season 21 already has its new single guy who is finding his true love. Nick Viall was announced as the next "The Bachelor" on the Tuesday episode of "After Paradise." Although his appearance surprises everyone, the 35-year-old star said that he is now excited and nervous at the same time.

ABC Chooses Nick Viall

Nick Viall is still in "Bachelor in Paradise" Season 3 and has been seen in "The Bachelorette" Season 10 with Andi Dorfman and Season 11 with Kaitlyn Bristowe. Many believe that "The Bachelor" Season 21 will be graced by either Luke Pell or Chase McNary from "The Bachelorette" Season 12 with Jojo Fletcher.

"He has just become that perennial, second place guy who wants to find love and is more sincere ... than anybody about finding it," Chris Harrison told People. "The Bachelor" Season 21 host revealed that it was ABC's decision to choose Nick Viall as they want to give him the chance to find his true love.

Nick Viall Reveals The Traits He Is Looking For A Girl

"I've had an interesting process through this journey, and it hasn't worked so far. Hopefully, things will end up on a more positive note," Nick Viall said in "After Paradise." He admitted that he is now ready to find that special one and to take the challenge. He also promised that he will try his best to work things out, Us Weekly cited.

As Nick Viall is now the leading star of "The Bachelor" Season 21, he also revealed the traits he is looking for a woman. He wants a fine lady who is confident enough to know their self-worth. He, too, is finding a girl who can make him a better person, the one who can challenge him in everything and willing to give him everything like he does. "The Bachelor" Season 1 will return in January on ABC.
