Student Gets Football Manager Post Based On His Football Manager Prowess

A student who played Football Manager game gets a real job as Football (Soccer) Manager for Azerbaijan.

Vugar Huseynzade, 21, an Azerbaijan-born Swede got a job as a supporting manager. He did not have any experience managing a football team apart from that of the game.

Huseynzade had the knack for acquiring, moving and manipulating talent by playing Sega and Sports Interactive's Football Manager series.

He was first employed as an assistant back in February. He met and convinced the vice-chairman that he possessed the necessary skills and has now been promoted as a coach of FK Baku reserves, a team in the Azerbaijani Premier League, JOE reported.

"I've always wanted to work in football and have played Football Manager since 2002," Huseynzade told Scandinavian newspaper Aftonbladet.

It has been reported that Huseynzade was preferred to former Marseille and France legend Jean-Pierre Papin.

This is not the first time that video game resume has been expanded into the real world opportunities in football Kotaku reported.
