YIBADA reports that PD Lee Eung Bok is not working on "Descendants of the Sun" Season 2 anymore after he resigned from the KBS Network. According to reports, the "DOTS" director has decided to quit after learning that Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are no longer reprising their roles in the upcoming sequel.
Sources have claimed that director PD Lee Eung Bok was really disappointed when he was told that "Descendants of the Sun" Season 2 will be having new lead stars, which means Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are so not coming back anymore. The resignation of the series' executive came after "DOTS" head writer Kim Eung Sok left the network few weeks ago.
Now, speculations about "Descendants of the Sun" Season 2 not happening anymore start to spread. Moreover, without Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo, the upcoming sequel might be cancelled.
Though these reports could possibly be true, the KBS Network remains tightlipped on these "Descendants of the Sun" Season 2 reports. Both Song Joong Ki and Song Hye are also yet to comment on these rumors.
