Paige and Alberto Del Rio have long been rumored to be romantically linked which doesn’t seem to carry anything negative in the eyes of most. All that is except for the WWE had reportedly tired of breaking up the couple with reasons undisclosed.
The issue was brought out in the open through the MSL and Sullivan podcast on MLW Radio. For some reason, the WWE allegedly wanted Paige and Del Rio to part ways.
From there, precedents were brought out in the open. That included the reason why both WWE stars were placed on separate brands. Del Rio eventually opted to end his tenure with the WWE after failing to get the push he claimed he was promised. Paige’s fate is still to be known.
Both peculiarly drew suspensions for violating the WWE’s wellness policy but now some can’t help but think that there could be something more behind it all. With Del Rio out, all that may be useless though Paige is not totally out of the clear.
Will Paige return or exit too?
Paige is still a no-show so it will be interesting of the Total Divas star will follow his rumored boyfriend to the exit. Her suspension should be up soon but her re-emergence seems a bit queer. With a dark cloud shrouding her tenure, there is a chance she may not return at all.
All that remains to be seen though the real reason behind the WWE against the relationship is intriguing. The WWE has seen a lot of stars drawn romantically with one another, making the couple’s relationship a controversial one.
Will Paige still have a place in the storylines?
Paige was drafted to Raw, though the Women’s division seems to be focused now on Sasha Banks and Charlotte. Assuming she returns, how does she fit into the mix?
She may likely return but as a mid-card wrestler despite her previous feuds with Charlotte. With that in mind, she may need to wait for her turn to the top – something tainted with bad blood considering she was threatened termination if she did not break off with Del Rio.
With Del Rio out, it remains to be seen if the WWE will change its stand. But none of that takes place until the former champion is spotted once again.
