Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed III's The Tyranny of King Washington DLC, an alternate timeline expansion that sees George Washington become the king of America.
In the new DLC, George Washington and the Continental Army defeated the English army and won their independence from England. But, instead of finding the United States of America, Washington crowns himself the new king and rules the land as a ruthless dictator.
"What if the story of America was not the one you knew? Revealing a nation born not of courage and brotherhood, but of greed and desire for absolute power," the trailer asks as it depicts Washington seated on a golden throne. The newly crowned King Washington is seen caressing what appears to be a Piece of Eden in the trailer. According to the voice over and the images in the trailer it seems that the artifact may has taken control and corrupted Washington.
It also appears that Ratonhnhaké:ton never took the name Connor and did not become an assassin under the guidance of Achilles Davenport. He appears in the trailer wearing animals skins and not the traditional white cloak of an assassin.

"Welcome to Assassin's Creed III's Tyranny of King Washington -- a 3-part DLC series exploring an alternate reality in which George Washington goes mad with unlimited power, foregoing Presidency to rule as tyrannical King. In this alternate world, Connor is and remains Ratonhnhaké:ton. Having never become an Assassin, he must endure new trials, acquiring the skills he'll need to take down a possessed Washington and win freedom for his land once and for all."
The latest add-on for the game, The Hidden Secrets DLC will release on Dec. 11 for non-season pass holders and will also be released on Wii U at a later date.The Hidden Secrets and George Washington DLC is free for PC gamers that purchased the Assassin's Creed III Deluxe Edition. There is still no official release date for The George Washington expansion.
The Tyranny of George Washington and The Hidden Secrets DLCs are free to gamers who have purchased the Assassin's Creed III Season Pass for 2400 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $29.99 on the PlayStation Network. The pass provides gamers with more than 25 percent in savings versus purchasing each DLC separately.
The Hidden Secrets pack includes three missions: the Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War, and a Dangerous Secret. The new DLC will add an hour of gameplay and new weapons. Gamers will also receive two single-player costumes including the Captain of the Aquila uniform and the traditional Colonial Assassin outfit as well as Redcoat and Sharpshooter characters for multiplayer.
