‘Star Wars Battlefront' Death Star News & Updates: DLC In Final Stage of Development; New Stories While Keeping True to the Series

"Star Wars Battlefront Death Star" is apparently in the works. "Death Star" is the upcoming DLC expansion for the hit first-person shooter game and is set to release soon.

"Star Wars Battlefront Death Star" is reportedly nearing the last phase of development and is said to be almost complete. The game developers are allegedly working on the lighting and visual effects for the new content. Oscar Carlen, the lead person in "Star Wars Battlefront Death Star," tweeted that they are already focusing on the lighting effects, among other things as they near the game's completion. Carlen explained on Twitter that he needed to double his effort on a Sunday, even though it is supposedly a rest day, so he can make the "Emperor" happy. Considering Carlen's dedication and extra hours to ensure that he meets the deadline, "Star Wars Battlefront Death Star" will most likely arrive according to schedule.

MNR Daily noted that a Visceral Studios representative stated at PAX West 2016 that several new details will become part of the new "Star Wars Battlefront" DLC. Amy Hennig, the company director, added that they kept all the authentic elements from the sage, at the same time adding new and original content. "Star Wars Battlefront" fans can expect new stories, locations, characters and creatures, although they will still find several familiar features from the series.

The developers of "Star Wars Battlefront Death Star" closely collaborated with LucasFilms, the developer of the original franchise, to ensure that they stay consistent despite the introduction of new elements. Visceral Studios also hired Doug Chang, senior creative director and art director of LucasFilms who previously worked on "Star Wars" games.

"Star Wars Battlefront" launched in November 2015 and became widely popular among gamers and fans of the franchise. According to Carlen, everything about "Death Star" is different, so players will find it difficult to compare with the previous DLC, "Outer Rim." "Star Wars Battlefront Death Star" is set to launch on Sept. 20, 2016. Those who availed of the Season Pass can play the game on September 20, but others will have to wait until October. More updates and details on "Star Wars Battlefront Death Star" are expected soon.
