'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Air Date, Spoilers, Latest News & Update: Cersei to Find a New Ally in Upcoming Season

It may or may not be one whole year before the highly anticipated "Game of Thrones" season 7 arrives to television screens, giving fans so much time to come up with theories about the show. The latest from the grapevine involves a certain Euron Greyhoy and Cersei herself.

According to Cinemablend, it looks like Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk) is making a big comeback to "Game of Thrones" season 7 and teaming up with Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). It isn't too much of an odd team, as they actually have a few things in common. They both eliminated some of their very own relatives just to obtain the crown, so we're sure they will have lots to talk about once they put their minds together.

Speaking of Cersei, she seems to be in opposition from everyone else especially following the events of season 6, so come "Game of Thrones" season 7, she'll definitely want to have someone on her team. Euron is also looking to rally up some allies and it seems that Cersei is the perfect teammate, given the things they have in common.

We've also got news on the Greyjoy clan, as Metro reports that Yara and Theon Greyjoy's uncle is closing in on the two of them, who are on the run. This uncle is known to have "heralded himself as the savior of the Iron Islands."

Meanwhile, there's also the addition of British actor Jim Broadbent to "Game of Thrones" season 7, but his role is being kept under wraps. The 67-year old award-winning actor recently had roles in "Bridget Jones's Baby" and "The Legend of Tarzan." He also appeared in the critically acclaimed 2015 "Brooklyn."

We recently reported on the roles to be filled in "Game of Thrones" season 7. Was Broadbent cast in one of those roles? Fans will have to wait and see when the show returns in 2017.
