'The Blacklist' Season 4 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: James Spader Teases First Episode! Fans Will See More Of Liz?

A few days before the "The Blacklist" Season 4 returns, James Spader, who plays the role of Red, revealed a clip of the TV series' first episode in "Tonight Show." Titled "Esteban #79," the role of the 56-year-old star was seen meeting a bunch of bad-looking guys in a restaurant.

These guys called Red in different monikers, like "Concierge of Crime," "Man in the Hat" and "Spy Who Stayed Out in the Cold." However, nothing could be sassier seeing Red killed the other guy instantly in "The Blacklist" Season 4. However, the uttered the words Red, "that sample," left everyone thinking what do that mean, as per Zap2It.

Fans, too, will be surprised to see that the Blacklister is Esteban (Paul Calderon). The publication also obtained the official photos on the set of "The Blacklist" Season 4. By the looks of it, the group is still in Cuba searching for Liz (Megan Boone). Tom is also spotted digging a grave and about to bury the dead body of his assailant.

Fans, too, are hoping to see Tom get reunited with the team to help everyone to look for Riz and Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen), who abducted the former. Red and Mr. Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) are also seen together in "The Blacklist" Season 4 talking to each other. Although it has been the known that the relationship of the two will be hard to fix, their storyline plays a significant role in the beginning of the show.

Fans To See More Of Liz And Her Past

Meanwhile, Megan Boone strongly believed that fans are about to see Liz's past and what really happened on the night of the fire in "The Blacklist" Season 4. "We are really delving into Liz's past and exposing a lot of things that have been withheld throughout the series," she told Entertainment Weekly. Additionally, creator Jon Bokenkamp teased that viewers will see more of Liz this time as she is still the lead star of the show, Cinema Blend noted. "The Blacklist" Season 4 will return on Sept. 22 on NBC.
