'The Lego Harry Potter' Remastered For PS4; Rumor Links 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' Movie

Harry Potter fans are in for another surprise this season with several potential links between J.K. Rowlings characters. "Lego Harry Potter" video games series receive face lift for PlayStation 4 while upcoming movie "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" seems intertwined.

Warner Bros. confirms the Oct 18 release of remastered version of"Lego Harry Potter" exclusively for PlayStation 4. Developer TT games unveils better lightings and improved graphics for the game. Yet both authorities hinted potential connection to the "Fantastic Beasts" movie. GameSpot quoted the producer for saying that "Lego Harry Potter" is a perfect gift for those who wants to watch "Fantastic Beast."

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor sequel to the original "Harry Potter" storyline. Events in this story narrates the adventures of Newt Scamander in 1926 or 70 years before Harry.

This is first of Rowlings' screenwriting attempts but is already receiving full support from Warner Bros. Basically, the rumor about subsequent freebies after "Lego Harry Potter" stems from timely re-issue on the video game. At any rate, early November is the best hope to clarify this rumor since there is a full month disparity between "Lego Harry Potter" and the movie.

Meanwhile, gamers will find Lego Harry Potter compiled in a single disc upon release, according to The Bitbag. This disc accounts for "Years 1-4" and "Years 5-7" of Harry Potter cycle in Hogwarts.

Years 1-4 DLC will account for Harry's adventures narrated in the first four books from "Chamber of Secrets" to "Goblet of Fire." The the Years 5-7 DLC will correspond events from "Order of Phoenix" to "Deathly Hallows."

Original characters from the game remain largely untouched apart from additions on spells. "Lego Harry Potter" and its gameplay will include lessons, potion-making, spell-casting and dueling against fellow students. There are no information yet about Lego Harry Potter disc cost but guesses peg at $60 for the full game.
