'Galavant' Season 3 Latest News & Update: Will the Show Return Soon? Producers Give Answers

"Galavant" Season 3 has been canceled by ABC Network in May. The musical comedy is not returning for the third season and this fact made many fans sad. The series was highly-praised and the cast line-up was impressive but unfortunately, these were not enough to clinch a decent rating that would have kept the show going.

But still, "Galvant" has bunch of loyal followers who really enjoy the show so they launched a petition for the producers to reconsider their decision. In the plea, fans wrote "We LOVE Galavant and we NEED #MoreGalavant. Please renew for Season 3."

As of this time, the petition already accumulated 23,357 signatures out of the 25,000 goal. The hashtag #MoreGalavant also trended on Twitter and all these efforts of the fans have touched the cast and crew of "Galavant." To show their appreciation, the cast filmed a thank you video and got the fans' hope up when they mentioned the chance of returning through a new outlet.

In addition, showrunner John Hoberg and director Chris Koch also had an interview with Entertainment Weekly and they stated once again that "Galavant" Season 3 may still have a chance to continue but definitely, it will not be airing on ABC Network anymore.

So, if they will push through with third installment of the show, where will it likely be shown? To this question, Koch said, "Hulu makes sense because I think ABC has some stake in it. Karen said that there might be some Netflix talk though too."

Hoberg also agreed that Hulu would be a good platform for "Galavant" Season 3. Furthermore, in order for their plan to materialize, Koch added that they will gather all the petitions and campaigns by fans, then show them to the producers. If things will go well, they can start with planning the production.

"Galavant" premiered in January 2015 with 7.4 million viewers. However, as the show progress, the number of viewers dramatically declined until only about two million were left when it aired its last episode in January 2016. Apparently, the viewer rating was the main reason for the show's cancellation on ABC.
