'WWE RAW' 9/12 Results, Latest News & Updates: Clash of Champions Title Matches Finalized [VIDEO]

After the success of "WWE SmackDown Live"'s brand-exclusive PPV "WWE Backlash" last Sunday, "WWE RAW" looks to match the effort with their own exclusive event, "WWE Clash of Champions" in two weeks. This week's episode of "WWE RAW" finally cements the big stories going into the event.

The biggest story of "WWE RAW" is with Kevin Owens's WWE Universal Championship, which he won a couple of weeks ago in a Fatal Four-Way elimination match. This week, he faces Roman Reigns in a match to decide whether Reigns gets to be in the Universal Championship match at "WWE Clash of Champions."

The main event first ended in a DQ on behalf of Kevin Owens after Seth Rollins came in to attack him. The match was restarted, and Kevin Owens defeated Roman Reigns after WWE United States Champion Rusev interfered. This result sets up Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins for the Universal title, and a rematch between Rusev and Roman Reigns for the United States Championship.

Match five of Cesaro and Sheamus's Best of Seven series happened on "WWE RAW" as well, and Cesaro defeated Sheamus after putting his feet on the ropes for leverage. Nia Jax vs. Alicia Fox ended in a no contest, while The Club defeated the New Day in a non-title match. Jack Swagger also defeated Jinder Mahal in an attempt to reboot his character, while Epico of the Shining Stars defeated Big Cass in a singles match.
