It is undeniable that the recent details pertaining to "Hunter x Hunter" is heading on a negative turn. However, it does not imply that these presumptions would materialize on the upcoming episodes of the segment.
Even the rumors that Yoshihiro Togashi is being blamed by Viz Media for the prolonged hiatus should be taken with a grain of salt in mind as well. Also, even the assumption that Togashi would lose his legacy owing to being replaced as the writer of "Hunter x Hunter" remains doubtful as well.

According to Ecumenical News, the rumors of Viz Media hiring new writers to work with "Hunter x Hunter" is not new. There were previous reports that the production company wants to fast track the segment and due to that, new workers are necessary. Despite the reports and presumptions, there are no definitive proof that the rumors are true and reliable for "Hunter x Hunter." Mobile & Apps also relayed of the rumored end of the anime segment.

As for the presumption that Gon would die in the upcoming scenes of "Hunter x Hunter, there are no confirmations from the writer and creators of the anime segment.
