Battlelog Hacked Yesterday, Tricks Users by Offering Battlefield 4 Beta

It appears as though someone managed to hack Battlefield's Battlelog last night. At around 3:30 PM EST, players were unable to join games, and a poll in broken english went up at the bottom of Battlelog for a Battlefield 4 beta, sending voters to a password stealing scam site. It also featured the option of...well, you can see it below, as to why players may not have signed up for the supposed beta.

I had no idea so many were so incapable of multitasking...

Both DICE and EA were quick to take action, and at this time, everything seems to be back to normal. A Battlelog developer stated that no data had been compromised, and logins were safe. However, if you happened to be one of the few to have been tricked, it's best you change your password as soon as possible, just to be on the safe side.

Tempting as some of these offers may be, never let yourself fall victim to someone trying to get a hold of your personal information. And as far as Battlefield 4 is concerned, according to EA's actual Battlefield site, "The team at DICE is hard at work on the next entry in the Battlefield series. While there is no further Battlefield 4 news at this point - remember, if you don't see it published here, it's just rumor and speculation."

DICE recently released some more details about Battlefield 3's next DLC, The End Game, which you can read about here.

Battlefield 3 is out now for Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
