Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Is On Sale On Xbox Live And Steam

Bethesda's massive action role-playing open world video game, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is on sale on Xbox Live's Games on Demand for 50 percent off of its regular price.

Microsoft's Larry Hryb made the announcement on his Xbox Live Major Nelson's Blog. The deals come as part of Microsoft's Countdown to 2013 Daily Deals.

Skyrim has been reduced from $59.99 to $29.99 and previous entry in the series Oblivion has been reduced from $14.99 to $9.99. The sale also brings discounts on several pieces of downloadable digital content for both games in the series.

Skyrim's Hearthfire and Dawnguard add-ons are currently reduced to half-price. The Dawnguard DLC has been discounted from 1600 Microsoft Points to only 800 MS points. Hearthfire has been reduced from 400 MS Points to 200 MS Points.

Oblivion's Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine add-ons are currently half-price as well. The Shivering Isles DLC has been discounted from 1200 MS points to 600 MS points. The Knights of the Nine DLC has been reduced from 400 MS points to 200 MS points.

The Elder Scrolls series is also on sale on Steam with Skyrim currently on sale for $29.79 and the Dawnguard DLC is on sale for $9.92. The Hearthfire add-on is only $2.47.

The sale also includes The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition and The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Game of the Year Edition for $4.99 each. 

Unfortunately, the recently released Dragonborn DLC is not part of the sale and is still selling for 1600 MS points. Dragonborn is the third add-on forSkyrim revolves around the return of the first Dragonborn to the island of Solstheim. The territory of Solstheim is inhabited by the Dark Elves. It was given to them after the eruption of the Red Mountain forced them to flee Morrowind.
