WatchOS 3 Latest News & Update: Emergency SOS, Control Center, Dock, More Very Useful Features Revealed! Should Apple Watch Users Try It?

It has been two years since the first Apple Watch has been released. Two years is quite a long time in the tech world; in fact, in that span of time, several improvements, upgrades and developments to all devices have already been made. Apple, one of the tech giants in the world, has been very innovative with their products -- recently, Apple released the iOS 10 for their iPad, iPod and iPhone users. Aside from that. the Apple Watch also has its new update on its operating system: the WatchOS 3.

According to a report from MacStories, even if the first Apple Watch that was released had received good reviews from consumers, some people also say that it still needs improvements especially on its operating system. There's no problem when it comes to the design, power and battery capacity. However, it is said that the third party apps from the first watchOS cannot run on the watch itself and it still need an iPhone to execute the apps. Will WatchOS 3 solve this?

According to a report from MacObserver, there are a lot of new features that consumers would absolutely like to the new WatchOS 3. One of the new features consumers love is the changing of the watch face. Users wouldn't use the Force Touch to access the editing mode and change the watch face but, now, they can just simply swipe right to left or left to right to change its face. This feature was made because most of the users are always changing their watch faces to suit the occasion.

The new Dock feature in the WatchOS 3 is also said to be very useful. The Dock can simply be accessed by pressing a side button and replacing the clock-like list of favorites. After pressing the side button, the user will be shown a view of live watch applications. Users can also access the Control Center by simply swiping the Apple Watch from bottom to top.

There is also handwriting recognition for sending text messages. This new feature means that users will not have to write the message on their wrists to reply. Another feature of the newly-released WatchOS3 is the Emergency SOS feature that can dial 911 and it can notify other people in case of emergency.

Users are suggested to have the iOS 10 installed on their paired iPhone device and they should have more than 50% battery before they start installing the watchOS 3 on their Apple Watch. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more news and updates about the WatchOS 3.
