Houston's Toyota Center is sold out and the crowd is eagerly awaiting the NBA All-Star Dunk Contest
Los Angeles Clippers' power forward Blake Griffin steps out on the court to a standing ovation. Clippers point guard Chris Paul tosses up a lob to set up the alley oop slam. Griffin takes the ball throw down a signature 360 dunk.
NBA All-Star Weekend is filled with awesome moments off the court like the Dunk Contest and Three Point Contest. 2K Sports' NBA 2K series has lacked this wonderful experience due to a licensing issue. Basically, Electronic Arts has held the rights to event for the past few years, but now it is in NBA 2K13.
For those gamers who forgot to pre-order 2K Sports' NBA 2K13 and therefore didn't get the All-Star Weekend Add-on, 2K is releasing the feature as a digital download.
The new expansion will cost gamers $4.99 on PlayStation Network or 400 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live starting on Jan. 8, according to an announcement on the game's official Facebook Page.
"We're excited to announce the NBA 2K13 All-Star add-on content will be available on XBL and PSN tomorrow for $4.99 (400 MS Points). Check out the All-Star modes in action, set to JAY Z's 'The Bounce,'" 2K Sports said.
The All Star Weekend DLC features the Slam Dunk Contest, Three Point Contest, Rising Stars Challenge, and the NBA All Star Game.

NBA 2K13 released Oct. 2, in North America for the Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, Microsoft Windows, and Wii. The game later released for the Wii U when the new console debuted on Nov. 18.
