'Mass Effect: Andromeda' Spoilers, Release Date, News & Update: Exciting Features to Expect; Two Protagonists in the Game, Who are They?
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is BioWare's new game offering and it will soon be published by EA. The game may share the same universe as with the "Mass Effect" series but the upcoming version is not sequel of the previous games.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" was first introduced in June 2015 at the E3 2015 event and it was followed by two sequels which were well-received as well. Now, BioWare and EA revealed that they will be releasing a follow-up game of the same title, however not much information was published about it.
But recently, at the Sony PlayStation Meeting 2016 which took place on Sept. 7, a trailer of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" was played. It thrilled many fans for it showed an interesting gameplay which highlights new settings, mechanisms and graphics.
Although the footage was quite short, it unveiled many details already. The leaks shared online have expanded the information of what fans know about the new "Mass Effect: Andromeda." So, what are the details that we have known so far?
First, it has been confirmed that Commander Shepard will not be the main character anymore. He is not returning in this installment but EA introduced the new lead, someone named Ryder.
The gender of this character in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" game has been causing confusion among fans because at the E3 2016, the trailer showed a female Ryder while at the recent Playstation Meeting, the lead was depicted as a male. It turned out that they are actually two protagonist characters - a man and a woman - and they are siblings.
Second, along with new ship and planets, there will be new races in the Andromeda galaxy. It was said that one race is an aggressive type while the other is serene and perhaps they are the ancient "guardian" people.
Third, some of the missions revealed ahead of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" launching is the task where Ryder must explore the Remnant vaults. A "Deployed Strike Team" missions are to be expected as well. This mission is where players send out resources in order to accomplish the tasks in real-time.
On the Mass Effect website, BioWare explained the delay of "Mass Effect: Andromeda." They said that they want to deliver a seamless game so they are taking their time. "Andromeda will now ship in early 2017. We can't wait to show you how far we're all going to go. Thank you for your patience and support," BioWare team stated.
Meanwhile, the next "Mass Effect: Andromeda" trailer is going to be published on N7 Day which is on Nov. 7. Probably, this would be the last teaser before the game's official release.
