The storyline of "Vikings" season 4 midseason episodes begin with the return of its main character Ragnar (played by Travis Fimmel) in Kattegat, Deadline reported. Portrayed as dead in the last season in a devastating battle in Paris opposite Rollo (played by Clive Standen) his brother, everybody believed he's dead except the Seer.
According to Variety, fans will get to see "Vikings" Season 4 midseason with premier opening in a differently crafted epic of Ragnar's homecoming after a long time. The story has shifted to the re-appearance of Ragnar amidst the power struggles among the many contenders to his vacated post.

"Vikings" Season 4 midseason episodes will continue to feature Alyssa Sutherland playing as Aslaug Ragnar's wife, and Alexander Ludwig as his son Bjorn. The opening salvo of the midseason premier kicks off with Ragnar to settle some issues hanging with King Ecbert (Linus Roache), the king of Wessex.

"Vikings" Season 4 midseason will highlight the voyage and exploits of Ragnar's son Bjorn in the Mediterranean with the help of Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård), the boat maker. Michael Hirst, the creator and writer of "Vikings" Season 4 is anticipating that the midseason episodes will continue to draw in more viewers. GamenGuide, also reported that more tensions will rise for the main characters.
The show is proud of a total cumulative figure of not less than 10 million viewers for all the seasons combined. As for the air date, "Vikings" Season 4 will return on primetime on History by November 30, 2016.
